Wren is an adorable little girl who one day wakes up to the outside covered in snow. As she looks outside her window she notices birds trying to find food. When she goes to the kitchen table her mother asks her what to get grandma for Christmas. As Wren thinks about it she goes outside to make and hang pinecones covered in peanut butter for the hungry birds. She waits for the birds and one does, a beautiful red cardinal. Watching the cardinal gave her an idea of what grandma’s gift would be: a beautiful teacup with a cardinal on it to replace the chipped cup she uses. On Christmas her grandma gets the teacup and loves it.
This was a book for children ages 4-8 but can be enjoyed by people of all ages. It’s beautifully illustrated. The book sends a wonderful message of giving, thoughtfulness, love, caring, observing, empathy, selflessness and so much more. Also I absolutely love cardinals!

Absolutely beautifully story about a little girl and finding the perfect gift for her Grandma! The story behind it is inspirational and adorable, displaying the unconditionally love that family give as well as God. This book would be perfect to read as a bedtime story on a winters night or even before naptime for pleasant dreams ahead. I received this book complimentary from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review. #WrensPerfectGift #NetGalley
Cute lovely Christmas book for kids. Wren finds two birds out in the snow who are trying to find something that the snow has covered. Wren helps the birds get food and that helps her think of the perfect Christmas gift for her grandmother. Nice illustrations and heartwarming story for kids that helps spread joy and happiness by noticing the little things in life. Nice read. Thank you for the eARC Netgalley.
The sweetest book about giving a thoughtful gift. The artwork is beautiful in this book. A little Christmas story about a girl thinking of a gift for her grandmother.
Ugh. The story has a slow pacing that you want to get to the end of the book (which I did). The rhyming didn't struck me, even the reveal of what Wren wants to give to her grandma. Very anti-climatic. Also is the art not AI?
